The Brief

An Eagle, Some Ivy, and a Lot of Ambition

Eagle & Ivy had all the ingredients for a memorable hospitality brand. The name gave us a strong foundation, and the space brought together three distinct experiences: restaurant, bar, and golf lounge.
Our job was to bring those ideas together into one cohesive identity.
We wanted the brand to feel established, polished, and confident, while still being approachable enough to make people want to walk through the door.

Phase 01 — Exploration

Five Directions Explored

We opened wide, sketching five distinct territories for the mark: a spread-wing emblem, an ivy-wrapped monogram, a proud heraldic crest. Each was tested small and in context, so we could see which had the presence to carry a hospitality brand.

Phase 02 — Refinement

Narrowing to the Crest

Two directions moved forward. We tightened the eagle into a calm, confident profile, wrapped it in a balanced ivy wreath, and paired it with a high-contrast serif wordmark. In parallel we pressure-tested the type until the voice felt classic without tipping into old-fashioned.

Phase 03 — Color

Finding the Right Green

Before committing, we explored the mood across several palettes: a deep forest, a moody teal, a wine-and-cream scheme. The winner was quieter and more timeless, an olive we call Secret Garden, warmed by Natural Tan and Steamed Milk and grounded by near-black.

The System — Brand Guide

One Eagle, a Whole Identity

A strong logo is only the beginning.
To help Eagle & Ivy maintain a consistent presence as the business grows, we developed a 14-page brand guide covering the essential pieces of the visual identity.

In the Wild

The Brand, Out in the World

The real test of a brand is what happens after the logo leaves the screen.

From signage and menus to the smaller details throughout the venue, the Eagle & Ivy identity was designed to create a consistent experience wherever customers encounter it.

The result is a brand that feels polished, recognizable, and established from day one.
